Pin-up Portrait of Ivy
by John Rogers on Feb.01, 2010, under Pin-up
It was a fun past few days. On Wednesday I flew to Portland & did some shots for a book cover. Then, this past weekend I did a photo shoot with a group of photographers, stylist and five beautiful hard working models shooting some fun retro pin-up shots. It was all ‘G’ – ‘PG’ rated and tons of fun. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday. I’ll post more images from the shoot in the coming weeks.
Portrait of Jo
by John Rogers on Jan.06, 2010, under Portraits
I met Jo when I was looking to have a totem carved in our backyard. We had to remove a large Cottonwood because it was dying and the majority of the tree was in danger of falling on our house. My wife suggested we leave the stump & perhaps we could have it carved. Enter Jo & her husband Stacey the amazing chainsaw carving team of Robinson Carving. As it turned out, not only are they amazing artist, but Jo is a model as well & and was looking to have some new images for her portfolio. So while Stacey was finishing up our tree, I shot some images of Jo. I hope she is as thrilled with her portraits as we are with our new tree art!
Here is a work in progress snapshot of Stacey working on our tree.
Beautiful Beverly
by John Rogers on Nov.19, 2009, under People, Portraits
Todays post is a bit more personal. Eleven years ago tonight I met my beautiful wife Beverly. It’s been the best 11 years ever and every year has been better than the last. Thank you Beverly for the love & support that you show me and those I love. All those that know you know what a lucky man I am to have you in my life.
