Big Birdie

This past weekend my wife & I flew to Kansas City to attend the wedding of my nephew Austin & his new wife Keisha. My sister Dorothy & brother in law Steve were kind enough to act as our chauffeurs while in town and on the way back to the airport we drove past these giant badminton Shuttlecocks or ‘birdies’ that are on the grounds of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. Since both Dorothy & Steve are members of a badminton league, Steve & I hopped out to take this quick photo.

    1. compliment: Incredible shot, with its color and the clouds. You are a pro.
    2. As a KC native, let me point out your foreigner’s mistake: You were standing in Missouri. Most everything noteworthy in Kansas City are on the MO side.

Would love to see you tackle the beauty of the Flint Hills/ Konza Prairie area in REAL Kansas (near Manhattan, KS).
