Session Fees;

The following fees apply to all Photography including Portrait Photography, Event Photography & Architectural Photography.

Portrait/ Head-shot Session Fee:

$150.00

A typical portrait session including Senior Portraits and Family Portraits with 1-2 outfits and a mix of close-ups & full length photographs will take 1-2 hours.  90% of all portrait sessions can be done in less than two hours. However, we also offer an extended session where I block off 1/2 day for multiple locations etc for $250.00.

Your session fee includes John’s time & talent for the session plus custom processing & retouching of images and an in person slideshow presentation of the top portraits.

In addition to the session fee there is a $300.00 minimum order for all sessions. Visa, MasterCard & American Express are accepted.

Event Photography:

$125.00/hr

There is a two hour minimum for all Event Photography.

Corporate, Real Estate & Architectural Photography & Special Assignments:

Photography rate $125.00/hr (2 hour minimum) Photography fee does not include licensing fees. Licensing fees are dependent upon intended use and duration of license.

Locations:

As a location photographer I can shoot pretty much anywhere. Your home, office, or a park or other favorite location. Please do note that some popular locations charge a fee for photo sessions.

Venue Fees:

Some popular locations charge a fee for professional photo sessions. For example, Zilker Botanical Gardens charges $50.00. If you choose to use a locations that charges for photography, you will be required to pay the fee as part of your Booking Deposit.

For all location photography there is also a travel fee that applies.  For travel to all locations within 20 miles of Central Austin (78756) a flat fee of $45.00 is charged.  Additional mileage/time is charged at $1.00 per mile.

Nonrefundable Booking Fees:

A nonrefundable booking fee is required to book a session. Your Booking fee will be applied towards your session fee. The amount of the Booking Fee depends upon the estimated length of the photography session. If there is a Venus Fee for your location, it will be added to the Booking fee.

Non-Commercial Photography (1-2 Hours): $100.00

Non-Commercial Photography (2-4 Hours): $200.00

Non-Commercial Photography (Full Day): $400.00

Commercial Photography: 50% of Project Estimate

Event Photography: 50% of Project Estimate

Cancellation / Rescheduling:

If you need to reschedule your session for a different date or time, please let me know as soon as possible. I will be happy to work with you to reschedule your session, however if you just fail to show up at the session without a call, the Booking Fee is forfeited & you will need to pay a new Booking Fee to re-schedule.

Rain / Inclement Weather:

If it is raining at the time of your session we can reschedule without you forfeiting your Booking Fee. A prediction of rain does not mean the session will be canceled! In fact, some if the best light for photography is on overcast days. I will be in contact with you if there is any chance the session will need to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. If you have any doubt about the suitability of the weather for your session, please contact me!

Image Preparation and Retouching Services:

There is a quote regarding photography comparing it to music; “If the original image is the score, the print is the performance.”

Not that long ago the get the best ‘performance’ I would have to work in a darkroom burning & dodging the light from the enlarger on the paper to bring out the best in the photograph. Today, I still sit in a dark room, only I’m at my computer doing the same thing in Photoshop.  I  spend time insuring every image I deliver makes the subject look their absolute best.

Your proofs are retouched at no additional charge prior to your in person slideshow presentation.

Very rarely, a client will request additional advanced retouching. I do provide that service for $90.00 per hour.

Prints:

My prints are available in a gloss or matte finish. Prints 16×20 and larger are available in multiple finishes including canvas, silk, metallic etc. I will cover this in more detail at our consultation.

Digital Images:

When you recieve a digital image you will also receive a license granting you specific rights for printing & reproducing the image. All Images are Copyright (c) John R. Rogers.

I provide you with my three favorite images as a low resolution digital file for Facebook as part of your session.
