This award winning print (1st place in a photo competition at the local Professional Photographers Association guild.) is from a session I did awhile ago of a couple of adorable cousins. Obviously much of the award credit goes to the handsome dude model! I love photographing families and babies. Although I am really known for my commercial fine art prints, there is nothing quite like creating custom artwork for families that they can enjoy for generations.

I had the opportunity to photograph these adorable cousins a couple of days ago. He is eight months old & she is six months. I’m not sure exactly what he is telling her but she was smiling!
It’s amazing how fast a 6 month old can move. With infants this age it’s great to have pro studio lights (in this case I setup in their home) that allow me to shoot really fast because every second these two had a different adorable expression.
As a side note; I’m actually doing this post from 38,000 feet flying to Seattle on our way to Fairbanks. Pretty cool technology!

This is the beautiful son of Liliana & Gary at twelve days old. I’ve learned that the younger the infant is, the more cooperative they are. Under two weeks old is best. Brandon was great! He slept, (which is exactly what I wanted) and made all those adorable little baby expressions as he had his little baby dreams. Both of his parents are wonderful so it is no real surprise that he is so adorable. Do you know anyone that is expecting that needs to get an infant portrait on the schedule?

Back on October 4th of this year I did a post (link) with an image from a maternity portrait session I did for Keisha and her husband Austin. The beautiful mother-to-be is now beautiful mom with a beautiful daughter. I know in most instances that would be an excessive use of the adjective ’beautiful’ however, in this instance, it is absolutely apropos. Brooklyn was born one month ago and I finally was able to do a portrait session. I thought I’d post another image from Keisha’s session along with one of Brooklyn for a little “Before & After”.
