The Austonian – Austin Texas

Austin’s newest residential tower on the Austin skyline is almost finished. At 56 stories tall, The Austonian is the tallest residential building in Texas. You can see another view of The Austonian here. Although my dogs might disagree, I could easily see myself living in the heart of downtown Austin.

My name is John R. Rogers. I'm a professional photographer in Austin Texas with over 20 years of experience photographing, videotaping, & filming everything from portraits & weddings, to national television commercials & fine art prints. It was Auguste Renoir, who said, 'To my mind a picture should be something pleasant, cheerful and pretty. Yes, pretty! There are too many unpleasant things in life as it is without creating still more of them'. I love making photographs that present the person, place or thing in the most pleasant, cheerful & pretty light possible. Would like to see this done with a large format camera motions or PC lens. The HDR is nicely moderate here and adds to the image. Nice image. If you could get up a couple of stories you’d have another interesting perspective to consider.
